Abstract

Mentorship plays a pivotal role in fostering innovation and growth in engineering disciplines. This manuscript explores effective mentorship strategies tailored to engineering environments, aiming to build a pipeline of skilled and innovative engineers.

By examining existing literature and implementing a mixed-methods research approach, this study identifies best practices and proposes actionable strategies for mentors. Results indicate that structured mentorship programs emphasizing hands-on experience, problem-solving, and cross-disciplinary collaboration yield significant improvements in the professional development and creativity of mentees. The findings underscore the importance of a supportive mentorship ecosystem in cultivating the next generation of innovators.
